Il Kevlar® è una fibra aramidica.
Prodotta dalla DuPont, è impiegata nei settori più vari grazie alle sue proprietà di resistenza al calore, resistenza in generale (5 volte maggiore dell'acciaio), isolamento elettrico.
Ha un modulo elevato e garantrisce una buona stabilità sotto carico.
